Ember League is a passionate indie game development studio founded by a small group of passionate developers whose credits include engaging titles like Exo One, Silksong and Hollow Knight.
Driven by a love for story-rich single player games, our goal is to make compelling experiences for PC and console players alike.

David Kazi
David heads up the Creative Direction for the game, including writing and overseeing design. Drawing from over a decade of game development experience, including as the Technical Director on Hollow Knight, he is putting all of his focus on making sure that the game is the best experience it can be for the players.

Alan Evans
Alan spans both creative and operational roles on Bit Awakening, contributing to design and progression while overseeing studio execution, planning, and growth. His primary goal is to make sure everything executes smoothly on the production and that team can deliver a premium game.

Nathan Cummins
Nathan leads the game’s composition and sound design. An award-winning composer who is also credited for music orchestration on Hollow Knight: Silksong, he shapes the emotional tone through music, builds immersive soundscapes, and brings each moment to life with bold, expressive audio.

Hari Dimitriou
Programmer, veteran competitive gamer and Lead Playtester on Hollow Knight, Hari brings a wealth of natural skill and experience to the team. Leading the Gameplay Design on Bit Awakening, he will ensure that the game is crisp, responsive and fun.

Lauren Nicholls
Lauren is an experienced animator, artist, and game developer. She served as the sole artist for The Sacred Acorn and has contributed as an animator to YOLO: Silver Destiny. With a deep appreciation for 2D platformers and immersive sims, Lauren enjoys exploring the visual and gameplay details that make these genres compelling

Connor Goudie
Connor is responsible for art direction, environment design, as well as animation. She creates the game’s visual identity, designs and builds its immersive worlds, and brings its characters to life through movement and detail.

Alan Blackwell
Alan focuses on character and environment design, with a strong emphasis on robots and technology. With years of experience across iconic franchises including Battlestar Galactica and BattleTech, Alan ensures our world feels cohesive and authentic.
